Kansas’ voters are poised to make history with a special election on Aug.
Gov. Sam Brownback, you have the power to make history with your vote for U.S. Senate. It’s time to get Kansas out of the Midterm Election Day mess, so you can once again put you stamp on America’s future.
You can make this possible by approving the following ballot measure on this June 26. It’s a direct challenge to the anti-federal government agenda of the House-Senate Republican majority.
You can also make this a referendum on your governor’s failure to stop the anti-federal government agenda by vetoing the GOP’s anti-Obamacare bill (SB 7).
The GOP’s agenda forces Kansas to become a state that is entirely dependent on spending. That is a recipe for a ruinous debt that is never paid back, but that continues for the next generation and the next generation to come.
We don’t need to get into all that. You need only to understand the history of Kansas. You should also know that the Republicans are not going to stop until our federal government is completely gone from Kansas.
You and I have shared many a beer together over the years. You often told me how much he wanted to make Kansas the ‘next Texas’ – and a few years later, we were there, watching the GOP take over the state:
“I can’t think of anything more evil than a state that has been taken over by the most conservative people you can imagine,” Brown said, pointing to the legislature’s ‘Budget Solutions’ agenda which, he said, could “turn our entire state into a libertarian hellscape.”
“Our government has been taken over by the most conservative people you can imagine.
